According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Quarantine is defined as the separation and restriction of the movement of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.
For Covid-19, it is required to undergo 14 days of home quarantine or more.
Please note the following definitions of products that should be available in your home and with you at all times during the quarantine:

  • Detergent: a cleaning agent (used in home) that helps remove dirt from inert surfaces.
  • Disinfectant: an antimicrobial agent designed to inactivate or destroy microorganisms on inert surfaces (e.g. use the disinfectant to spray all bags from outside).
  • Alcohol-based hand rub: an antiseptic solution used to rub hands to inactivate or destroy microorganisms (70% alcohol).

If you were in a medical facility and you were asked to quarantine

  1. Keep the surgical mask on and head directly to your car
  2. Drive without passengers, if possible
  3. Clean your car before other use
  4. Wash your hands
  5. Remove your face mask in the room in which you will be isolated
  6. Discard the mask in a closed garbage bin
